When it comes to streaming multimedia, set top box is all that you need, and if you’re looking for a set top box, you’ll should have a look at Amazon’s latest device.

Amazon Fire TV allows you to stream content from Amazon Prime and other similar services such as Hulu Plus and Netflix right to your TV. In terms of hardware, this device is powered by quad-core processor that is three times more powerful than the one on Apple TV, Google Chromecast and Roku 3. There’s also Adreno 320 graphics, 2GB of RAM, dual band WiFi, 7.1 Dolby Digital Plus surround sound and the ability to stream Full HD content in 1080p. Amazon Fire TV comes with a feature called Advanced Steaming And Prediction that allows you to stream content automatically without buffering. This function can learn your viewing habits and predict shows and movies that you want to watch and prepare them for playback. This device also supports video games, and Amazon is also releasing a game controller for it. As for the number of supported titles, Amazon has teamed up with Disney, EA, Gameloft, Ubisoft, Mojang and other developers, so we expect to see large number of compatible games.

Amazon Fire TV sounds great, and it’s now available in the US for $99. We have to mention that with each purchase you’ll get 30-day subscription to Amazon Prime and Netflix.
