Archos 80 Helium 4G: Latest 8-inch tablet with 4G support

On February 21, 2014, in Tablets, by Mike Jefferson

Tablets are everywhere, so we’re not surprised to see that Archos is announcing its new tablet, so without further ado, let’s see what this device can offer.

Archos 80 Helium 4G is according to its creators world’s first 8-inch 4G tablet that costs less than £230. Regarding the specs, this device comes with 8-inch 1024×768 display and 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm MSM8926 processor. Additional features include 1GB RAM, 8GB of onboard storage, 5-megapixel rear-facing camera with 1080p Full HD video capture support and 2-megapixel front-facing camera for video calls. Archos 80 Helium 4G also comes with 4G LTE support, Bluetooth 4.0, WiFi, GPS, a 3,500mAh battery and Android 4.3 Jelly Bean.

Archos 80 Helium 4G sounds decent, although we feel that resolution is tad low for a 8-inch device, but on the other hand, 4G support is always welcome. There’s no information regarding release date, but we expect to see this tablet later this year.
