Having a few drinks in a local bar can be dangerous especially if you don’t walk home and decide to drive back while intoxicated, and in order to protect yourself and others, today we have a device that will allow you to keep an eye on your blood alcohol content.

Alcohoot is a smartphone-powered breathalyzer, and it onder to use this device you just need to connect it to your handset’s headphone jack and you’re good to go. One thing that makes this device stand from the rest is its “police-grade accuracy” and in order to provide the most accurate results, you can exchange your old device for a new one every year for a $30 fee. Regarding the compatibility, Alcohoot is compatible with both Android and iOS devices and the dedicated app will mark open restaurants within the walking distance, so you can get something to eat in order to help you sober up.

If you want to drink responsibly Alcohoot might be just what you need, and as for the price, this device is priced at $119.
