Tablets are great, but if you’re on a tight budget you might want to consider getting an affordable tablet, and luckily for those on a tight budget, Acer has announced its new tablet, so let’s check it out.

Acer has announced third generation Iconia B1 tablet, and this model comes with slimmer design and better sound quality compared to its predecessor. This is a 7-inch device, and it comes with narrow bezel with a new back cover . The 7-inch display supports 10-point touch, and it comes with One Glass Solution technology that makes the display brighter and thinner. Regarding the resolution, LED-backlit display offers 1024×600 pixel resolution. Another design change is that speaker and microphone are placed at the front so you can get more immersive sound as well as higher volume and clearer voice quality. Acer Iconia B1 comes with 1.3GHz MediaTek MT8111 Cortex A7 dual-core processor, 1GB of RAM, 16GB internal storage as well as microSD card slot. Built-in battery can last up to five hours on a single charge, and the tablet runs on Android 4.2.1.

Acer Iconia B1 comes with humble hardware specs and it’s priced at $129.99. As for availability, this device should be available for sale in US in January.
