BitLock is world’s first keyless lock for your bike

We saw all sorts of locks that can be unlocked by smartphones, but today we have something for fans of cycling.

BitLock is a special lock for your bike, and in fact, it’s the world’s first keyless bike lock. BitLock comes with proximity sensor that will detect your presence, and if you’re near your bike, about 3 feet away, you can use your smartphone, both iOS or Android, to unlock the lock. All that you have to do is to press a button on your smartphone, and your bike is unlocked and ready for cycling. According to the creators of BitLock, this device has a 5 year battery lifespan and it will be good for 10,000 locks and unlocks. In addition, if your smartphone runs out of battery, you can manually unlock your bike using a 16-digit binary code. BitLock comes with other features such as Locate that you can use to keep track of your bike. Also, you can easily share your “key” with your friends, so they can borrow your bike as well. There’s also an activity monitor that keeps track on how many miles have you traveled or how many calories have you burned.

BitLock sounds great, especially if you’re a cyclist, and as for the availability, we should see this bike lock available someday in the future.
