Google is constantly working on its services, and speaking of which, Google plans to update Gmail with some new features, so let’s see what does Google have for us this time.

Saving your email attachments can be a tedious process, especially if you want to view those attachments on other devices, but with the upcoming Gmail update Google will allow you to save your attachments directly to Google Drive, therefore eliminating need to download attachments and upload them back to cloud in order to view them on other devices. Emails in Gmail inbox will now show preview of attached file at the bottom, and you’ll get a preview of photos, videos, spreadsheets and PDFs. You can even click the preview, and open a full screen view of that attachment in order to search for particular phrase. In order to save to Google Drive, you just need to hover over the attachment preview and click the Google Drive button, but you can also download the attachment and store it locally as well, simply by clicking the arrow button located next to Google Drive button.

This is an interesting update that will make your Gmail experience simpler and streamlined, and we should see this update available to desktop users soon.
