We already heard rumors that new Xbox 720 will require always on internet connection for playing games, but now we have a leaked email that claims otherwise.

This email was sent to full-time Microsoft employees that are working on the new Xbox console, and this email states that there are number of scenarios in which users expect their console to work without internet connection. This means that new Xbox might not require internet connection to play single player game, or to play a Blu-ray disc or watch live TV. Bear in mind that this is just leaked information, and that there’s no official response from Microsoft regarding this information. Email also reveals information that confirms you can hook up new Xbox with cable boxes for watching live TV.

This leaked information reveals a lot of interesting features, and as for announcement, Microsoft will announce new Xbox on May 21st, and we should see a full unveil at this year’s E3 conference in June.
