Folks from Archos have been busy, and they have introduced a new Platinum range of quad-core Android tablets, so let’s see what do these tablets have to offer.

There are three models available: 8-inch, 9.7-inch and 11.6-inch, and all of them have IPS touchscreen, wide viewing angle and accurate color reproduction. All models come with sleek aluminum housing, 1.2GHz processor with PowerVR SGX 544 8-core GPU and 2GB of RAM.

In addition, all models have 2 Megapixel main camera and a front-facing camera for video calls, WiFi connectivity, mini HDMI output, 8GB of internal memory and a microSD card slot for additional storage.

Also, we have to mention that all these tablets are running on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean operating system. As you can see, all these tablets offer great hardware specs, and the only difference between them is the screen size and price.

80 Platinum uses 8-inch 1024×768 IPS screen and it’s priced at $199. On the other hand, 97 Platinum HD comes with 2048×1536 display, and it’s priced at $299, while the last model, 116 Platinum, features a 11.6-inch 1920×1080 Full HD display and costs $349.
