HTC launches Desire U in Taiwan

Smartphones from HTC are famous, and speaking of which, HTC has announced a new smartphone in Taiwan, so let’s see what does latest smartphone from HTC have to offer.

Desire U is powered by single-core 1GHz processor and 512MB of RAM, and it comes with 4-inch 800×480 WVGA touchscreen. There’s a 5 Megapixel main camera with LED flash and smile shutter, but there’s no front-facing camera, so you won’t be able to enjoy in video calls. As for the storage, Desire U comes with 4GB of internal storage, but if that’s not enough for you, there’s a microSD slot for expansion. As for connectivity, this smartphone supports Bluetooth and WiFi, and it works with GSM/EDGE and 3G HSPA mobile networks, and thanks to the built-in network monitor, you can keep a close eye on mobile data usage.

HTC Desire U is now available in Taiwan for $274, but we don’t know whether this smartphone will be available worldwide.
