Mac Mini has been updated, and now it runs on Intel’s 3rd generation dual-core Core i5 and quad-core Core i7 Ivy Bridge processors, and these processors are twice faster than the ones used in older Mac Minis.
Speaking of improvements, there’s new integrated graphics that is up to 65 percent faster. Additional specs include 4GB RAM that is upgradable up to 16GB, and Intel HD Graphics 4000. Core i5 2.3Ghz model comes with 500GB hard drive, while the quad-core Core i7 model uses 1TB hard drive, but you can upgrade with 256GB SSD or 1TB Fusion Drive.
Additional features include Mini DisplayPort output, HDMI output, Thunderbolt port, four USB 3.0 ports, FireWire 800 port, and SDXC card slot. As for connectivity, new Mac Mini supports Bluetooth 4.0 and WiFi 802.11n.
As for pricing, Core i5 2.3Ghz model is priced at $599, while quad-core Core i7 model costs $799.
