Bladepad: iPhone case with built-in controller

On September 10, 2012, in Gadgets, Gaming, by Mike Jefferson

Playing video games on iPhone isn’t easy since touchscreen isn’t the best input device for gaming, but if you still want to play games on your iPhone, today we a case that might make your gaming experience a bit more enjoyable.

Bladepad accessory is an iPhone case that comes with a slidable joystick, so you can easily slide it back in when you’re done with your gaming session. Bladepad pairs with your iPhone using Bluetooth, and it comes with D-pad, dual analog sticks, physical buttons and shoulder buttons, as well as backlighting on the buttons, so you can enjoy playing video games in low light conditions as well. As for the list of supported games, there’s no official list of compatible games, but the developers of this device are negotiating with major game studios and indie developers, so we might see a large list of compatible titles in the future.

So far, Bladepad is just a Kickstarter project, but we might see it available for sale, if it reaches its funding.
