ClearShot: Compact and foldable iPhone tripod

On August 21, 2012, in Gadgets, by Mike Jefferson

Many of us are using iPhone for taking pictures, but as you know it’s hard to keep your hand steady while taking photos, but today we have a device that might help you with that.

The best way to avoid shaky photos is to use a tripod, but tripod can be too cumbersome to carry with you at all times, so this is where ClearShot comes in handy. Unlike other tripods, ClearShot is big as a credit card, and it fact, it looks like a plastic card until you fold it and transform it into a tripod. However, if you’re not using your iPhone for taking pictures, you can use ClearShot as a iPhone stand while watching movies or surfing the web.

ClearShot is a compact tripod so you can carry it with you at all times, and only flaw is that you cannot adjust its tilt or height. However, you should know that ClearShot is still a prototype and currently a Kickstarter project.

I am the designer and project owner of ClearShot.

I would like to point out a correction to your article. The ClearShot certainly does allow adjustment to the tilt angle from straight vertical 0-degrees to 45-degrees. Turning the phone around gives negative angles between negative 45-degrees and 0 (for aiming downwards). We have graphics at our kickstarter page that illustrate this. Thank you for posting!
