On July 31, 2012, in Latest News, by Mike Jefferson

There are millions of Gmail users worldwide, and in order to keep its webmail service fresh, Google has introduced some new features to Gmail, so let’s have a closer look at it.

Gmail had a chat option for a while, and with the release of Google+ Gmail received options to chat with Google+ friends as well, and now with the latest update you can even enjoy in Hangouts with your Gmail contacts – directly from Gmail. Now you can access Hangouts with your friends whether or not they are on Google+ or Gmail, directly from your web browser, Android, and iOS device. As for the Hangouts, you can chat with up to nine people simultaneously, watch YouTube videos with them, or even share your screen.

Google seems determined to turn Gmail into ultimate communication service, and Hangouts is a welcome addition to Gmail, if you like using Hangouts of course. We don’t know whether or not Google has updated your Gmail, but make sure that you give Hangouts a test run.
