CordLite: iOS connector cable that glows in the dark

On June 12, 2012, in Gadgets, by Mike Jefferson

Charging iOS devices isn’t always an easy task, especially if you’re trying to do it in the dark because it might be hard to connect your charger to your iOS device, but today we have a device that can make this process a bit simpler.

CordLite is designed by Scrap Pile Labs, and unlike standard connector cables, it comes with illuminating LED lights that make it easier to connect it to your iOS device in low light conditions. CordLite works rather simple, you just have to hold it in your hand, and thanks to the connector’s touch-sensitive aluminum body, the front LEDs will light up as soon as you take the cable in your hands. So far, CordLite is only compatible with iOS devices, but Scrap Pile Labs is already working on a micro-USB cable for Android devices as well.

Although CordLite sounds like a useful device, it’s still a Kickstarter project, but you can pre-order your own by donating to its funding.
