We already wrote that Google is planning to release a new service called Google Drive, and now we’re happy to inform you that Google Drive has been officially released.

Unlike other online storage services, Google Drive works with other Google’s services as well, so you can store your Google Docs on your Google Drive and edit your documents, presentations, and spreadsheets with your friends in real time. In addition, you’ll be able to search for files on Google Drive using keywords, and you can even search scanned documents and images using OCR technology. Google Drive will create a network drive on your computer, and you’ll be able to move files and create folders in it with ease. In fact, Google Drive can even store older versions of your documents; however, such feature can easily use all of your storage space. As for compatibility, Google Drive is available for Windows and Mac computers, and there’s a free Android app as well, and we should see iOS version in near future.

Google Drive comes with 5 GB of storage space for free users, but you can get 25GB for $2.49 a month, 100GB for $4.99 a month and a 1TB of storage space for $49.99 a month.
