Check out the latest offering by Lenovo announced today, yes, its yet another Android tablet. What’s great about the new IdeaTab S2109 is that its slim (8.9mm) and comes in a nice gunmetal finish, in addition to having Android OS 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich on board.

While detailed spec are not available yet, we do know that the new tablet will feature a 9.7-inch touchscreen display with a decent but rather disappointing resolution of 1024 x 768 pixels – the non-retinal display which the iPad 2 had. Additionally, it also boasts iPad-missing-features such as micro HDMI and a microSD card slot. The back of the slate is peppered with a full four speakers for SRS Trumedia sound and what Lenovo promises is better bass than the tinny thumps we’re used to from most tablets. Oh and there’s a 1.3 megapixel front facing camera for video chat.

No word on official pricing yet, but like most Android tablets we anticipate that it should undercut the new iPad’s especially given its specs.
