We’re all waiting for the next gen Nintendo console, and if you’re eager to find out more about it, you’ll be pleased to know that Nintendo has unveiled the Wii U’s new controller at this year’s E3 press conference.

Looking particularly impressive, the Nintendo Wii U controller will come with a 6.2-inch touchscreen and it will provide a tablet-like experience to its users. In addition, this controller has two analog circle pads, D-pad, standard set of buttons and triggers, microphone, speakers, accelerometer, gyroscope, home and plus and minus buttons.

The touchscreen works pretty well, but one thing that we must mention is the ability to beam video directly between TV and vice versa. According to Nintendo, data is transmitted wirelessly without latency, so you can enjoy smooth gameplay experience at all times. Of course, you can use Wii U’s controller in a similar way as Wii Remote thanks to the motion controls, though it will no doubt be substantially heavier.

The Wii U controller sounds amazing, the console itself is scheduled for release in 2012 sometime between April and December, we can’t wait to see it available on the market.
