After a recent privacy update on Facebook, Facebook has decided to add some more enhancements that will make tagging of your friends a bit simpler.

If you’re a Facebook user than you probably know that in order to tag your friends in status message you have to add @ before your friend’s name, however there are many people around the world that don’t know how to tag their friends in their status updates, so Facebook decided to make their lives a bit easier. With this update in order to tag your friend in a status message, all that you have to is to type five or more letters of friend’s name with the first letter capitalized and the dropdown menu will appear so you can select the appropriate friend from the list. In addition, you can even shorten the names of tagged people, in case that your friend’s name is too long, you can simply delete few characters while keeping your friend tagged.

This isn’t anything special, but it’s a small improvement that will make your Facebook experience a bit simpler and easier.
