We already wrote about latest security hole  in Skype for Mac OS X, but luckily for all Mac OS X users, folks from Skype have managed to fix this issue on time.

The recent security hole in Skype for Mac OS X allows anyone from your contact list to gain access to your computer, simply by sending you a text message with a specific attachment. Although this hole is classified as dangerous, hackers haven’t exploited it yet, and Skype team has already released a Skype update that fixes this. As for this security hole, interesting fact is that Skype already patched it in version 5.1.0.922, but since there were no reports of this security hole, Skype didn’t release this version as a part of an automatic update.

Skype team have now released version 5.1.0.935 of Skype for Mac OS X that fixes the issue, and you can update your application by clicking the Update button in the dialog box that appears when the application launches.
