According to recent reports, YouTube will soon take first steps towards launching premium content and premium service. After being world’s most popular video streaming service, YouTube plans to launch a new movie on demand service.

Although YouTube officials didn’t announce anything yet, rumored online reports say that we’ll get the chance to enjoy in Hollywood blockbusters and other movies on YouTube. As for pricing, YouTube premium service will use a transaction model instead of the subscription model, and this service should act as a direct competitor to iTunes and Netflix.

YouTube has already got the support it needs from all the major movie studios for this project, and so far, only Paramount and Fox aren’t involved in this collaboration. Anyhow, we don’t know how much this service will cost, but we’re expecting to see this service available soon.

Although YouTube premium service sounds tempting, we just hope it will have more success than Google TV.
