Banning services from certain countries is common nowadays, and after Google’s problems with certain governments, it appears that other free services such as Skype and Hotmail could be banned in Russia along with Gmail.

Though it’s hard to believe that such devices are still being produced. The mobile phone and smartphone especially took a bite out of the role of MP3 players and PMPs. It is true that not all mobiles provide exceptional audio quality and that some still resort to a quality MP3 player. Cowon C2 follow in D2 and D2 + footsteps. The compact design and lack of buttons tells us that we are dealing with a touchscreen device. It has a diagonal of 2.6″ and a resolution of 320×240 pixels.

Looks good, but is misleading – the new EraThink EraPalm gadget is a console / PC hybrid it seems, but can do something else.

Displayed recently at the China Consumer Electronics Fair, the portable gadget runs on Windows 7 and has a 5-inch capacitive touchscreen of 800 x 480 resolution with support up to 1080p videos. Under it, is hiding gracefully a simple sliding QWERTY keyboard, providing increased functionality. With a ethernet port too, this mobile phone like portable gadget allows wire internet connection.

Gigabyte ECO600 – a new wireless mouse

Gigabyte is preparing to launch a new wireless laser mouse, by the name of ECO600. It measures 125 x 78 x42 mm and weighs 106 grams (excluding batteries, of course), uses the 2.4 GHz wireless connectivity,  integrates a laser sensor of 800 – 1600 dpi and capable of processing at 3000 fps.
