With constant news about browsers such as Internet Explorer 9 and Firefox 4, it seems that many users are forgetting about Opera. Although Opera might not be in the news all the time, we have now learnt that the newest beta version of Opera Barracuda has been released.

You might have heard that Opera has shown a next version of its browser on SXSW, but that’s not all. In addition, the beta of that latest version has been released and its packed with some nice features. Opera Barracuda, or Opera 11.10, features improved Speed Dial page that allows you to customise your favorite sites.

Its UI has been improved as well, and it features new layout choices. New Opera introduces seamless installation of plugins in the background, which means that whenever you need a plugin to view a website, Barracuda will automatically download it, without bugging you at all. We have to notice that Barracuda is based on a new browser code that makes it the fastest version of Opera up to date.

With support for CSS3 multi-column layouts, gradients, Web Open Font Format and WebP image format, this new beta version of Opera Barracuda is a piece of software that you mustn’t miss.
