Although Adobe is working hard on security issues for Flash Player, it seems that Adobe has found another critical flaw that can affect users on various platforms, therefore, Adobe has released a security advisory concerning this flaw.

We’ve seen exploits in Flash Player over the years, but the latest critical flaw in Flash Player affects number of platforms such as Windows, Mac OS X, Linux, Solaris, and Android. This flaw exploits authplay.dll component that is present in Adobe Acrobat and Adobe Reader X, and after the exploitation of this flaw by malicious users, the affected system crashes.

To make things even worse, there’s a possibility of attacker taking full control over the affected system as well. According to Adobe, this flaw is being exploited by using a malicious .swf file that is embedded in Microsoft Excel file in email attachment.

Currently, Adobe is working hard to fix this exploit and we’re expecting to see an official fix soon.
