As you know, you can’t emulate any other gaming platform on PSP except GameBoy, NES, and SNES, but it seems that Obiwan222222 has found a way to run Nintendo Wii games on the PSP.

The hacker behind this project, Obiwan222222 already attempted to play Wii on PSP four years ago, but the results were unplayable due to the game becoming extremely laggy. Four years on though, Obiwan222222 has managed to improve his project and now you can take advantage of lag-free Wii experience on the PSP. Of course, not everything is as great as it sounds because in order to play Wii on PSP, you’ll need a Wii emulator on your PC, some custom firmware for PSP and a program on your PSP called PSPDisplay that controls your PC via PSP and transfers both audio and video from your PC to your PSP. This just sounds ridiculous and too tedious for me to achieve, plus the project renders your PSP almost complete non-portable.

As you can see, this isn’t a simple Wii emulator for PSP, it’s just a simple way to control you PC, with your PSP and steam audio and video from it to your PSP device via WiFi. It’s the only way you can run Wii games on PSP, so we can’t really complain.
