Game Boy might have been one of the best handheld consoles on the market back in the old days, but now it has been replaced by other consoles. However, this is not the end of Game Boy, and we have this mod as a proof.

Today we have an interesting mod that will bring back your old Game Boy back to life, although you do not play anything on it anymore. This interesting mod combines the looks of a first Game Boy and the technology of the latest Game Boy Advance SP.

Somebody was skillful enough so he managed to remove the internals of an old Game Boy and replace it with hardware from Game Boy Advance SP. Of course, buttons, speaker, headphone jack and power button are from the original Game Boy while the case has been modded so it can use volume adjustment, charger and batter from the Game Boy Advance SP. Overall, this is a great mod that proves to us that the one of the first handheld consoles isn’t dead yet.
