HP and Palm have been trying their best to keep the lid tight on the next Palm device. No doubt we haven’t received any leaks of Palm Pre 2. Though initially it looked like a mistake when Palm Pre 2 surfaced on the website of French Carrier SFR but the page hasn’t yet been taken down even after hours which forces us to assume that the Palm Pre 2 is kind of official now.

Here are the specifications that we could grab for the upcoming Palm Pre 2:

  • 1 GHz processor
  • 512 MB RAM
  • Design same as the current Palm device but the new Palm Pre 2 is said to to have flatter screen which could well be glass.
  • Resolution will be more refined though we are not sure what this exactly will turn out to be.
  • The crack prone plastic of older devices won’t be used on the upcoming Palm Pre 2 though this hasn’t been made official by HP.
  • webOS 2.0 will help the Palm Pre 2 boot a lot faster than its old counterpart.

Though all the announcement is on a French blog yet if we correctly decipher the information then Palm Pre 2 will have Facebook push integration for messages, events, chat and wall postings.

One Response to Palm Pre 2 surfaces officially and surprises

  1. 1

If they release this phone in a few weeks does this also mean WebOS 2.0 for the rest of us loyal day 1 sprint users in a few weeks? That just may hold me over for the year.
