Getac B300: New rugged laptop won’t get hypothermia

On September 27, 2010, in Laptops / Computers, by Mike Jefferson

The new rugged laptop from Getac is called Getac B300 and it is packed with 2.0 GHz Intel Core i7-620LM and has 2GB RAM meaning it should handle majority your applications with ease. It also boasts a 250GB SATA hard drive, not the largest but reasonable.

In addition, this laptop comes packed with a DVD drive and a Gobi 2000 Mobile Broadband Module so you can be connected at all times. As for the battery hours, this laptop can provide up to 22 hours of run time thanks to the optional dual-battery pack. Interesting thing about the Getac B300 is not its hardware specifications, its the damage resistance. If you’re planning to use your laptop in the ‘harshest’ way or simply planning to use it in extreme conditions Getac B300 might be perfect for you because it can work even at -20 C and it has MIL-STD-810G certificate for shock and IP65 certificate for water and dust protection.

Getac B300 is one tough laptop with decent hardware specifications under that rugged shell, we should see it out in October with a pricetag of $3,799 and for that, you’ll also get five years product warranty.
