Folks from Apple have been busy recently and they have presented us all sorts of new devices. After the new generation of iPod Touch, iPod Nano and iPod Shuffle, we got a new version of Apple TV that has today been presented by Steve Jobs.

Apple TV is a digital media receiver and it’s a network device will allow you to play multimedia content from your PC or Mac on your HDTV. Great thing about new Apple TV is that it’s 80 percent smaller than the previous version and it comes with built-in power saving battery.

It will remain cool at all times even without the built-in cooling system. Since this device is extremely quiet you won’t even know that it’s turned on. As for the setup, all that you have to do is to plug in your device into power outlet and connect it to the HDTV and you’re good to go.

Since Apple TV is using WiFi and ethernet connection no additional wires are required. That way you can stream content from popular sites such as YouTube, Flickr. In addition, you can rent shows and movies from Netflix for a certain price. You can stream content from your PC or Mac and MobileMe account as well.

The latest Apple TV is smaller and much improved than the previous version and besides that, it costs even less than the older model. Apple TV costs $99 and as for availability it should be available later this month.
