The Dell Aero is going to be the next Android powered smart phone available from Dell. This new smart phone has a lot of great features, to start off with, its being called the world’s lightest Android phone. And its not going to be too costly too, priced at $100 with a 2 year contract at AT&T.

Unfortunately there is some bad news, like the Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 and companions, the Dell Aero too will come with the outdated Android 1.5 set up. We are not sure if there will be upgrades available for this phone, but that’s a definite con to the Dell Aero.

The Aero comes with a 624Mhz processor, a five megapixel camera, 2Gb of internal memory with microSD card support (up to 32GB), a 3.5-inch touchscreen, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS (with A-GPS). This phone may be the lightest out there right now, but there is no word on worldwide availability at this point.
