Sprint U1901 USB 4G mobile broadband modem

Sprint has just released the Sprint U1901 4G USB modem. A lot of companies seem to be selling “USB modems” now which allow customers to connect to their networks while you are on the go. Most likely are used with laptops for most of the time.This adapter is compatible with all major operating systems out currently which include Windows XP/Vista/7 and Mac OS 10.5/10.6. This modem is based off of Beceem BCSM250 chip set, the U1901 gives you Sprint’s 4G WiMAX network offering some good internet speed. The peak download speed is 10MBps and average download speed is around 3-6Mbps.

The U1901′s USB connecting end flips up and down to angle into any position available. There are also two antenna ports for faster performance when plugged into the cradle that is sold separately. This USB 4G modem measures 3.15 inches (h) x 1.2 inches (w) x 0.59 inches (d) and weighs 0.9oz which is one of the smallest USB modem’s available.
