Technology isn’t limited only to the industry and medicine and here’s a prime example of that where latest technology is used on the streets of Tokyo.

New hit on the streets of Tokyo are vending machines with touchscreen displays. As you might remember, we’ve already seen touchscreen vending machines at the CES in 2009 but now for the first time we’ve got a chance to see these devices with 46-inch LCD display in action.

So far, these machines are working great, and all that you have to do in order to purchase a drink is to navigate through the menu with drinks and with the two taps on the LCD display you can purchase your drink.

A company named aCure has invented this new vending machine with LCD display, and the first vending machine with LCD display is placed in Shinagawa Station. Vending machines with touchscreen displays will be a huge hit in Japan because they combine two favourite things in Japan, vending machines and touchscreen displays.

When you combine simple thing that you see everyday such as a vending machine and a latest technology such as LCD display you have to get an amazing results. Question remains how will the crowd accept these new devices and will they be able to replace standard vending machines?
