Remember the BAFTA 2009 game of the year? Batman: Arkham City will be the name of the sequel for the same which is all set to launch in the fall of year 2011 as announced recently by Warner Bros. Interactive. The game is still getting its final touches in Rocksteady Studios and the plot will be set in Gotham’s new maximum security home for criminals.

Set inside the heavily fortified walls of a sprawling district in the heart of Gotham City, this highly anticipated sequel introduces a brand-new story that draws together a new all-star cast of classic characters and murderous villains from the Batman universe, as well as a vast range of new and enhanced gameplay features to deliver the ultimate experience as the Dark Knight.

Keeping aside the title of the game and its exact launch date, Warner Bros. Interactive is still not ready to reveal any information about the game. Mystery always surrounds the word Batman and when a game of this status starts multiplying that mystery then one got to understand that the launch of such a game will surely rock Batman lovers.

The yet to launch game will be available for Windows PCs, Xbox 360, and PlayStation 3 when it is launched somewhere during the fall of 2011.

On a personal note I haven’t been a fan of Batman and any games that come along that line but for the Batman fans (if you really are!) the clock is ticking pretty slow and time is almost a year away when you get the chance to wet your hands on another dream game.
