Some people might not remember the old 8-bit consoles that we all played it as kids. Before Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and Nintendo Wii, there were good old-fashioned 8-bit consoles. Back in the 80’s and 90’s everything was all about NES and SNES but the present day improved gaming systems have phased them out.
Although almost nobody plays NES and SNES anymore there are still many fans out there for retro gaming. NES and SNES takes a huge part of the gaming history so we consider ourselves lucky that we had some quality time with those consoles twenty years ago.
If you have owned NES or SNES you’re probably left with a bunch of old gaming cartridges that are standing in a box and collect dirt. Well, you’ll be pleased to know that not all cartridges are standing like that, some of them are being used for other things such as data transfer. Somebody thought that it would be a cool idea to use old NES and SNES cartridges as casings for portable hard drives therefore we got these interesting devices.
That idea looks great and we’ve seen several NES, SNES and Game Boy Advance cartridges that are used as a hard drives. As for the storage space, Game Boy Advance cartridges are used as flash drives that provide you 4 GB of storage space while NES and SNES cartridges are providing up to 1 TB of storage space. Therefore, if you’re a fan of retro gaming make sure that you check these devices.
