My TV Remote app: Turns your iPhone into remote

On July 16, 2010, in Uncategorized, by Mike Jefferson

You may have seen Apple’s Remote app, its been out for years, but it only controls your iTunes’ music but this new app My TV Remote is something abit different.

iPhone has many purposes, it can be used as an alarm clock, media player, camera, browsing device and now for the first time you’ll be able to use your iPhone as a remote control for your TV. All that you need to use your iPhone as a remote is the My TV Remote and an infrared emitter.

If you’re not pleased with your current remote or if you would like to use iPhone as a single universal device this application would be perfect for you. All that you need to do is to order this app and a infrared emitter through app store, connect your emitter instead of your headphones and you’re good to go. Infrared emitter is cheaper than you think and it costs only $10.

Unlike with ordinary remote you won’t have to switch through channels, instead you’ll download a TV guide and you’ll be able to thumb through channels on the similar way as you do with music. Maybe the best thing about this application is that it allows you to see what show is on each channel and read the description of that show.
