Officially announced: Motorola Droid X

Motorola has made quite the impact on the market with their Droid phones and fans have been waiting with anticipation for the latest phone from this manufacturer. For all Motorola users there are good news since Motorola and Verizon Wireless have finally made their latest phone, Droid X, official so let’s see what Motorola has to offer to us with this phone.

Droid X, also known as Droid Shadow or Droid Extreme, comes with smooth black design and with great hardware specifications. Droid X is using TI OMAP3630 45nm processor that is running at 1 GHz. New Motorola is using 4.3-inch touchscreen display that works under 854×480 pixel resolution. Unlike the other phones Motorola Droid X comes with 8-megapixel camera. Speaking of camera, it has auto focus, dual LED flash and if you want to edit your pictures, you have image editing tools included. As for video, this device can record 720p HD video and it has HDMI output included. Droid X comes with 8 GB internal storage that can be easily expanded via microSD card slots. This phone offers WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity, it has built in WiFi mobile hotspot function, and it comes with Swype keyboard.

As for the software, Droid X is using Android 2.1 OS but it will receive Android 2.2 and Adobe Flash Player 10.1 update this summer. In addition, this phone works with Verizon’s CDMA 800/1900 EVDO Rev. A network. As for the availability and price, we’re expecting to see this amazing phone on July 15th with the price of $199.99 with a 2 year contract included.
