Motorola has just broken news of a new Milestone Android phone – XT720, a handset designed for those who liked the original Milestone but despised it of its limited camera capabilities. The latest Milestone XT720 will boast an eight megapixel sensor, 720p / 24fps video recording and a first for Android handsets, a xenon flash.

It doesn’t have a full QWERTY and other specs include a 3.7-inch, 480 x 854 screen, a 550MHz ARM Cortex A8 CPU, and an approximate talk time of nine hours and 320 hours in standby.

The phone which will launch later this month will come with Android 2.1 on board, but a 2.2 upgrade shouldn’t be too far away.
