There is no doubt Google has been one of the greatest companies today with all of the softwares and services that they provide, and they want to keep it that way. Since the release of the Google Android OS, Google has been working hard on their long anticipated Google Chrome OS. From what we’ve learnt, we might be seeing Google Chrome OS as soon as June this year.
The company behind this is Acer and they should present Chrome OS on this year’s Computex in Taipei. As you surely know, Acer is known by its notebooks and all sorts of mobile solutions, but what will Asus offer on this year’s Computex? We could only guess, but we know that it will use Chrome OS.
As for the Google and their Google Chrome OS it’s designed to be OS specialized for network applications, which most of them are powered by Google. It’s based on Linux and it’s no accident that is called Chrome, just as their popular browser. It takes Chrome’s minimalistic design and transfers it into a web based OS providing same speed and simplicity that their browser Chrome has. It is designed for users that spend most of their time on the internet, so we might see a netbook from Acer in June.
Anyway, Google has announced that they will be releasing their Chrome OS in 2010, so we can just wait and see how will Google’s OS deal with other operating systems on the market.
