This motherboard has 890FX / SB850 chipset combo and AM3 socket so it supports Athlon II and Phenom II AMD processors with TDP of 140W. But the special thing about TA890FXE AMD motherboard is a special BIO-unlocKING technology for all people who like to experiment with overclocking and boosting their processor speed and cores. The BIO-unlocKING feauture should be able to unlock 2 core processor into a 4 core one or even turn 4 core processor in 6 core processor. This is all thanks to the BIOS that automatically detects the amount of hidden cores and allows you simple and easy unlocking of the same.
Besides the easy overclocking feature this motherboard has four DDR3-1800 DIMM memory slots allowing up to 16GB RAM memory which is enough for all your needs.
