Nintendo Wii has made quite a revolution with its controllers allowing your movement to be captured and to be transferred into the game, but unlike other gaming consoles Wii doesn’t have that much hardware power to offer and only thing great about it might be its controller. Well, people from Microsoft have a huge announcement to show on E3 in June which will make Xbox 360 capture movements and reproduce it in game.
It is called Project Natal and it’s an accessory for Xbox 360 that does movement capture, but unlike with Wii’s motion sensors you don’t need any controllers to use the Natal. Development of Natal is still early but it looks promising enough and there is a prototype game that will be shown on this year’s E3. The game called River Rush and it is completely using Natal to follow your movement, so this means that no controllers are needed. As for River Rush it’s a game where you need to steer the kayak down the river through the rocks and rapids. This is a co-op game so you’ll need another person to play with you, making it more fun and challenging. As for the gameplay, Natal will track your whole body movement and since you’ll have to balance your weight in kayak to steer left or right there will be a lot of moving from left to right.
It will be perfect for burning calories and we can’t wait to see what will happen on this year’s E3.
