When it was released in 1974, Rubik’s Cube has been a huge hit all over the world. It was a simple toy, but who would even dream that Rubik’s Cube will be used to produce energy?

I’m sure that you’ve seen or used Rubik’s Cube at least once, so you know how it works. You need to twist it in different directions to match all the colors on the cube. I bet that even Rubik didn’t know that one day his cube will used to create energy. This is however, still an early concept by Zhen Weixi, but I have to admit that idea is quite interesting. Zhen Weixi calls his device a Magic Changer and he says that it is designed to combine the fun of the cube with environmental protection. Idea was so simple and it’s a wonder that nobody think of this concept before.

Magic Cube will be used to charge up the portable devices via USB port. So it would be a great solution when you’re traveling and batteries are almost empty. Simply grab the Magic Cube and try to solve it and while twisting it you will actually power up stored built-in battery. All thanks to electromagnetic induction you’ll be able generate electric power, wherever you go.

This is still and early concept and first design, but idea of charging your devices by solving Rubik’s Cube sounds really interesting. But if you’re not a fan of Rubik’s Cube, you should better skip Magic Charger as well.
