The new SFX Evo controller has just been released by Splitfish for PS3 and PC. It has unique design and It looks quite revolutionary because you hold part of controller in a single hand, something similar with WiiRemote and Wii Nunchuk but without any wires that connects them.
I don’t think that we have seen such thing on PS3 and on PC before. SFX Evo consist of two big controllers which use 6 AAA batteries, that seems too much in my opinion, but luckily they are rechargeable with the included cable. It’s quite quick and easy to setup all the advanced functionality such as Programmed Motion Over-ride (pMo) and motion controls.
Although controllers are quite big they are ergonomically designed and they fit in hands perfectly. They are quite comfortable to use, and no longer will you have to hold your hands in fixed position while playing. Another great feature with this controller is the motion controls. It might not work like on Wii but it will most definitely a great innovation because it can be used to move the camera while keeping other buttons free. Speaking of buttons, there is option that allows you to make your own button combinations which can be quite useful for fighting games.
With all the new features and innovative design this controller is something quite refreshing that community needs. It costs around 70$ and it’s bit more than Dualshock 3 controller, but with all unique features it just might be worth it.
