Acer released a dual-booting netbook that featured Android and Windows XP way substantiate in October of last year. Unfortunately, the Aspire One D250 appeared to receive a little than stellar recognise. However, sales stats indicate that Acer is prepping a follow up device. The Acer Aspire One D260 will also be a dual-boot netbook boasting both Android OS and Windows.

Til now, the information can be described as insufficient to non-existent. But, the Aspire One D260 is being worked on and that it will be coming with a redesigned chassis. We can expect other changes as well.

If we consider the last dual booting netbook, the Android setup was not the most ideal. The main disadvantage of this would be, the D250 dual booted Windows XP and Android, but you were not competent to reboot straight into Android. Instead you had to launch Windows XP and then restart to run Android.

The other features of Aspire One D260 stay a secret. But, it is believed that it includes a 10 inch display with a 1024 x 600 resolution, 1GB of RAM and either a 160 or 250GB corneous ride. Maybe the D260 will also come sporting Windows 7 Starter as opposed to XP.

In acquisition to this Aspire One D260 content, Acer also made it decipherable formerly again that they are curious in actuation a Google chrome OS based netbook and hope to see that come accessible sometime around the third quarter of this year 2010.
