I don’t know if you’ve heard about it but your privacy has been invaded on Facebook. You might not know it but all your private email addresses were reviled for 30 minutes for unknown reason and then, and turned back to normal. Many users’ addresses were shown on their profiles so it’s no wonder that Facebook users are mad about it. That late Thursday night, millions of strangers could see and take your email address, and what are the consequences from this 30 minute error we shall see in near future.

Users did their best to hide their emails from public by putting them to be the private and not visible, but without effort. Facebook eventually fixed this error but at that time more than half of users had their emails shown. There have been some speculations that this might be somehow related to new privacy changes that are coming up soon. Facebook plans to share your data automatically with the sites that you’ve never visited (something similar that users with Gmail have on YouTube or Blogger). In fact I know for sure, because I’ve tried it that this method and it works on some sites in order to make your signing up process a lot faster.

Bottom line is, is this new future to be worth the risk of having such errors like this one repeat in future, and will your email address be exposed on Facebook once again before they do it right?
