Following many popular brands, it was HP’s turn to enter the rat-race of launching a tablet pc, to compete with the iPad. Though, the trendy device from Apple offers fewer features than what was expected, it continues to be the world-favorite. However, Hp has introduced the iSlate tablet with alluring features and superior functionality.

Hp iSlate

To the disappointment of us Apple fans, the rumored name “iSlate” came from the chambers of Hp. Like all competitors, Hp will be taking full advantage of the undue popularity of the name. Now, after a month from the launch of iPad, HP plans to beat the Apple’s tablet with its iSlate.

As per rumors, iSlate will add another page in the Microsoft Vs Apple rivalry by integrating fully packed Windows 7 environment. The iSlate may not be as lustrous the iPad however, it will surely score over the ipad at functionality. There are possibilities of adding multitasking capabilities to the iSlate. It may also include support for a cellular connection providing more advantage.

The war is on, as Dell is considering the idea to develop a smaller tablet with a 5-inch screen and Acer openly proposing to bring about “iPad-like devices”. Others including MSI and Asus are still silent about joining the trend. Hp has been giving clues about pricing the tablet Pc under the $630 price tag (lower than that of iPad). Though the offers look quite appealing, Apple’s fans won’t let the iPad down.
