All the people who have so far been using Android powered smartphones must be aware of its very own homescreen. Just released, this latest, gorgeous and amazing looking SlideScreen by Larva Labs is all set to replace the basic version of the mobile platform’s homescreen. It is very much similar to the interfaces of Zune, MotoBlur and HTC.

Unlike the conventional grid of icons and widgets, this brand new Android app allows you to access the services like Google Reader, Twitter, email, text messages, calendar appointments, and stocks straight from the homescreen itself.

You will find a number of similarities when you compare the SlideScreen with Blur (the social networking layer by Motorola on CLIQ). It displays a movable slider in the middle of interface which displays the details like displaying date, time, weather, battery, and signal strength.

You can even access the conventional interface offering 8 of the customized shortcuts at the top of the SlideScreen. This Android application offers an easy to use interface. You can access any of the application just by tapping on the respective button. But the factor which makes SlideScreen more special is its speed. You would be surprised to know that it is faster than the Motorola Droid’s interface.

Its incapability to run all the Google Applications except for Gmail account might disappoint you but one will surely admit its impeccable strengths and moreover it is still at its development stage. Based on these factors, SlideScreen is expected to impress most of the users to a great extent.

If you want to use the free version of SlideScreen, then you have to bare an ad with it while its PRO version can be bought for $7.
