Want to stay connected to the television program of your choice while on the move? Audiovox Corporation with FLO TV has announced several live mobile TV products. Audiovox’s FLO TV Personal lets users view their favorite TV series anytime, anywhere.

A small pint-sized tablet, the FLO TV has a 3.5-inch capacitive touchscreen display, is lightweight and fits perfectly in your hand. It uses Qualcomm’s MediaFLO service as a host. The service is currently building international partnerships; so Indian channels will also be made available at some point. The FLO TV Personal comes with built-in speakers and has the ability to set reminders for shows—imagine a digital video recorder on the go.

FLO TV provides more than a dozen linear channels with content from ABC, Disney Channel, ABC Family, Adult Swim, CBS, CNBC, Comedy Central, ESPN, Fox, Fox News Channel, MSNBC, MTV, NBC Nickelodeon and other programmers. Some are simulcasts of the regular TV networks, while others are specially programmed mobile channels.
At CES 2010, Audiovox showed a line of FLO TV-enabled devices, including both in-car receivers and a small personal TV, and accessory firm Mophie announced a new battery-pack device that will bring FLO TV to Apple’s iPhone.
The retail product will run $599, including installation, and comes with six months of service. FLO TV subscriptions, which have been selling for $14.99 per month for FLO-enabled AT&T and Verizon phones, will run $199 per year for the in-car product.We can expect the FLO TV mophie juice pack to arrive in the US in the first half of 2010, price to be confirmed.
FLO TV has reached a deal to integrate its FLO TV receiver chip and antenna into a Mophie battery pack, which will actually transmit the FLO TV programming to the device over Wi-Fi networking instead of using a physical connection.In short, It’s the world’s teeniest Wi-Fi connection.
