CES: LG X300 UMPC unveiled
LG Electronics rolled out its new X300 ultra-thin premium mobile PC at the CES fest 2010 in Las Vegas. The ultra-slim machine only 17.6mm thick and weighs about 970g. The PC boasts an elegantly designed elite framework perfect for mobile applications.

The portable device equips a sleek 11.6-inch wide LCD screen and offers smoother operation through unique reflective keyboard. The borderless touchpad provides faster responses and attracts the eyes through hidden lighting. Better operation is promised by Intel Menlow based 2.0 GHz processor optimized for mobile devices.
The ultra-thin LG X300 features fanless, silent operation and can run to seven working hours on with a spare 2-cell battery. The mobile PC employs a Solid State Drive and works on 2GB of RAM. The combination of 1.3 Mega-Pixel webcam and SRS TruSurround HD sound allow for unlimited hours of audio/ video conferencing. The advanced 3G modem offers connectivity through almost every network including GSM, GPRS, EDGE, UMTS, or HSDPA.

Integrating LG’s Smart Pack, the UMPC offers superior functionality to its users. Easier synchronization through Smart POP and access to SMS through Bluetooth are notable benefits from the software. The Smart Recovery and Smart Care help to keep the machine up and running while providing assistance to novice users. The Smart On feature is customized to increase accessibility of the most used functions. Whenever the computer boots a menu of such functions is generated in less than five seconds.
The LG X300 Ultra-Thin Mobile PC will be available globally for purchase in February this year.
