Unlike the Volkswagen Up Lite concept which is equally very eco-friendly, Audi’s new diesel A3 is in fact a production car and realistic! Audi first announced the addition of the new 1.6 TDI model to the A3 lineup over in Europe during September and now it’s available to order in the UK. The newest A3 features the VW group’s latest 1.6 liter common rail injected four cylinder diesel powerplant. In the A3, this engine combines with several other tweaks – including brake energy regeneration and automatic start-stop. As a result, this new technology gives the new A3 TDI a CO2 rating of just 99 g/km and mileage of 61.9 mpg combined.

The first attempt at USB 3.0 from the Taiwanese flash memory maker PQI and not bad at all. The Cool Drive U366 has a nice, elegant aluminum exterior design with a clear plastic lid. Of course, what matters the most is the new PQI Cool Drive U366′s functionality, boasting USB 3.0 means it will boast 5Gbps/sec bandwidth max. This makes it ten times the bandwidth of USB 2.0 which many of us have been using for years. It will also be capable of transfer speeds of up to 97MB/s.

Just featured on BBC last night was the 6th episode of the current season 14 of the popular petrol head tv series. The three presenters take on a ridiculous four by four challenge in Bolivia, probably one of the toughest they have ever faced. Of course like all challenges in the past, they were given a small budget to limit their choice of vehicle.
