UK: Apple iPhone 3GS to arrive Tesco Mobile
Tesco, one of the UK’s largest retailers for practically everything will soon be offering the Apple iPhone 3GS. Tesco Mobile, the retailer’s mobile virtual network operator, will soon be launching the iPhone at its Tesco Mobile Phone Shops. The handset will also be available online through its Tesco Direct website.
For those in the UK, you’ll know that Tesco Mobile is a joint venture between the retail giant and wireless carrier O2. Though mobile phones sold through Tesco are are branded and locked to Tesco Mobile, behind it is largely the O2 network.
While not many Tesco branded phone shops appear to be on the highstreets at the moment, the company does have plans to boost more than 100 Tesco Phone Shops here in the UK by the end of 2009.
