New netbooks: Asus Eee PC 1201N boasts Atom 330 and ION

We’re abit late in covering this, but its hard to resist, not to mention this is a new Asus Eee PC netbook. Asus officially announced last week, their new 12.1-inch Eee PC 1201N multimedia netbook that boasts an Intel Atom 330 dual core processor and NVIDIA’s ION graphics processor. The 1201N has exactly what we’ve always liked from Asus products, style and slick body.

The Eee PC 1201N comes with a 12.1-inch 1366×768 LED-backlit display. Depending on your choice, the 1201N has either 2GB or 3GB of DDR2 RAM and a 200GB or 320GB hard drive. Supporting Bluetooth 2.1+EDR and WiFi 802.11b/g/n connectivity. There is also a 0.3 Megapixel webcam, stereo speakers, multi-in-one card reader, HDMI port and built-in microphone. Conveniently, the netbook comes preinstalled with ArcSoft SimHD, which upscales standard definition video content to high definition.

The Asus Eee PC 1201N netbook will come with Windows 7, starting at $499.
